We will use the standard scoring table for assessment of tuber
infection

Only washed tubers will be scored

The best time for tuber scoring is December (after some storage
time)

We will exchange the data as: Number of tubers in each
category (0-6)

If possible, the reference cultivars will be included in the
field trials from 2003 ongoing

A scoring table for assessment of root gall symptoms has been
suggested, but this has not first priority for breeders. Nevertheless,
those cultivars with low tuber and high root susceptibility are
a serious risk factor in potato production
|
|
|
|
|
The participants will send tubers with powdery scab symptoms
to the ETH, Zurich, where the identity of the lesions will be checked and
the symptoms then documented in a database.
