The last (2nd) EU Powdery Scab Workshop was held in Langnau, Switzerland, in 2007. 23 scientists from 8 countries participated. After a 3-year collaborative resistance screening trial set it was decided to concentrate on the epidemiology of the disease. Several participants agreed to do again field trials with periodical assessment of tuber and root infection of at least one susceptible cultivar. At the same time environmental parameters like soil temperature or soil humidity are measured. Three years of the second series of collaborative field trials are behind us and it is time to come together to discuss the results. And more. You are welcome.
